Kasees is situated at the top of the centre of Thredbo Village on Banjo Drive, which descends through the village from the Alpine Way. It is directly uphill from the Thredbo Alpine Hotel and the village pedestrian mall, and can easily be spotted by its flagpoles.

Getting to Thredbo:

Thredbo is approx 6.5 hours drive from Sydney via Canberra, or Melbourne via the beautiful winding (fully sealed) Kosciuszko Alpine Way. From the South Coast and Canberra it takes approx 3 hours to reach Thredbo.

From Jindabyne, take the Alpine Way turnoff to Thredbo, which is prominently signposted. Continue along the Alpine Way for approximately 30km, until you see the main turnoff to the village. Continue on past this for another 1.5km or so until you see a second turnoff which descends into the village. This is Banjo Drive. Kasees is the second building on the left as you descend, after Lantern Apartments and before Banjo Townhouses.

From Victoria, Banjo Drive is the first entrance in to Thredbo off the Alpine Way.

National Park entry fee

Please note that when driving to Thredbo from either Victoria or NSW you are required to pay an entrance fee to the Kosciuszko National Park. You have the option of paying a fee for the number of days you will be staying in the Park, or purchasing an annual pass. If the entrance stations are closed, the entrance fee can be paid at the Thredbo Information Centre.
