Kasees is noted for its warm, friendly, intimate mountain lodge atmosphere. In the style of traditional mountain lodges, it has private and communal facilities, including a guest lounge with large log fire, piano, music, board games and books for relaxing apres-ski. The lounge is also a great place to curl up on bad weather days, and to meet other guests.
Our Lodge features balconies and windows with fantastic views of the mountain and valley, a great place to view the Thredbo flare run on Saturday nights or a special place for a pre-dinner drink in the setting sun in summer.
Being centrally located in the village directly opposite Mt Crackenback, Kasees is only a 5 minute walk from the Valley Terminal building, the base for the Kosciuszko Express chairlift. The Valley Terminal also houses the ticket office for lifts, ski school and sporting facilities, ski hire, retail and tuning, and the medical centre.
Kasees is very close to the central pedestrian mall which houses many of the villages eateries, clothing and ski retail, pharmacy, supermarket, bakery, post office and bottle shop. The tennis courts, bobsled, mountain bike hire, golf course and Thredbo Leisure Centre (gym, squash court, sports hall, swimming pool) are also a short walk away. The village courtesy shuttle bus stops directly next door to Kasees in winter for easy access to the ski slopes.
Kasees has onsite parking and bike storage, however both are limited and restrictions apply.
